The Italian Armonie Symphony Orchestra performs the music of Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi with refreshing passion and authenticity in this compilation, part of a series of recordings dedicated to individual classical composers. His ubiquitous "Four Seasons" are bookended by two lesser-known concerti, providing an excellent sampler and introduction to Vivaldi's body of work.

The cleverly titled (and curated) Zeit für'sIch offers gentle, major-key movements from eleven of Mozart's works, aiming for a consistent mood rather than a complete portrait of any single period. The mood in question is relaxation or reflection, so after a long week this could be just what the doctor ordered.

Opera legend Luciano Pavarotti's magnificent career is commemorated in this live compilation, including arias from ten operas and one sacred work. One of few tenors who attained both popular acclaim and sincere recognition for his musical talent (you could say a sort of opera "street cred"), Pavarotti left an indelible mark on the classical world.
